Recruitment strategies and key changes to those strategies as a result of the market, economy and the behavioural changes of an “aware employee”, will be discussed. Technology, combined with COVID-19 and the availability of multiple good-paying jobs, has created an employee mindset that an employer must work for them as much as they must work for the employer. This changes the recruitment world considerably. We are no longer able to attract the talent we want using a single strategy. This employee-driven market requires employers to cater to a new set of reasonable employee expectations in order to attract and retain talent. One size no longer fits all.
