Program Overview
The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) is a Canada-wide system designed to give employers and workers information about hazardous materials used in the workplace. The original WHMIS (1988) was updated in 2015. WHMIS (2015) is based on the Global Harmonized System (GHS) and uses pictograms, labelling and safety data sheets that are significantly different from the original WHMIS of 1988. WHMIS was founded on a worker?s right to know what hazards you are working with in the workplace! Education is fundamental to WHMIS ? workers need training on a regular basis. This training course is presented by
Levac Health & Safety.
